The past 31 editions of this event, held every year in a different country, have demonstrated incredible success and interest from students worldwide and this year's meeting promises to be an excellent opportunity for students to present their research projects, enjoy wonderful guest lectures, visit research centres and industries in the North of Italy and socialize with young members of the international physics community. Participants can also expect to get a flavour of Italian culture, with its historical and artistic wealth and its excellent cuisine.

Who is this for? Undergraduate, Master and PhD students in a Physics-related programme.

Why should I join? The ICPS is a unique opportunity to present your first steps in scientific research and get a unique experience in a welcoming international context. It is also an excellent occasion to consider study and work opportunities in any of the countries of other participants.

When? August 7th-14th , 2017.

Where? Turin, Italy. Visits to research institutions in the north of Italy are included in the programme.

How can I present my research? Students can apply to present their (under- or postgraduate) thesis work or a project that they worked on during an internship. Participants who wish to present a talk or a poster will be required to submit an abstract. It is not required for everyone to do this: it is also possible to simply assist to presentations by others.

Is it really expensive? It isn't! Registration will be open on March 12th with a fee of €220. This fee includes accommodation, food, travel during the Conference, attendance to workshops and guest lectures, as well as social events. Participants are required to organize their journey to Turin independently. Heavy subsidization of the programme is allowed by our international partners and sponsors.

How do I register? Visit www.icps2017.it to register and find more information about the conference. We expect to accept 400-450 participants overall.

Who is organizing the event? We are a group of Italian students spread across the globe, all part of the Italian Association of Physics Students (www.ai-sf.it). The ICPS has been traditionally organized by member states of the International Association of Physics Students (www.iaps.info) and the year 2017 will see the Italian group (founded in 2014, with about 1,000 members to date) organize its first edition in Turin.

Please visit www.icps2017.it to explore the programme, see who our guest speakers are, which institutions we will be visiting and what the city of Turin has to offer.
